Los Angeles 10th District Councilman Herb J. Wesson Sr. and newly appointed California Board of Equalization Member Jerome Horton tour the Village Health Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides low cost and no cost access to natural healthcare offering nontoxic medical treatments.

Founded by Jewel Thais-Williams, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., M.S.O.M., the Village Heath Foundation opened its doors in 2001 and since then has been successfully treating clients with a wide range of diseases including diabetes, hypertension, high blood pressure, arthritis, heart disease, gout, chronic diseases, and pain issues.

The Village Health Foundation provides innovative, culturally-relevant preventative health education as well as therapy, acupuncture, educational programs offering practical tools for reducing the risk of disease, and the tools for learning to live with chronic diseases.

Open six days a week, the Village Health Foundation is located at 4073-75 Pico Boulevard, just east of Crenshaw Boulevard, and sits adjacent to the Vegan Village Internet Cafe, a popular soulful, Mexican twist on the vegetarian trend serving food 7 days a week in a restaurant setting.
