Pastors, clergy and laity throughout the greater Los Angeles area will attend the Southern California Jurisdictional Convocation of the 6th Episcopal Diocese of the Greater Church of Deliverance Inc.
The assembly starts on Friday, September 21 and concludes on Sunday, September 23. Bishop T.A. Moore and the congregation of The King’s Dominion Life Center will serve as hosts at their edifice located at 2403 Marine Avenue in Gardena.
According to Bishop Craig Worsham, presiding prelate of the 6th Episcopal Diocese, the convocation will comprise a wide range of uplifting services, sessions and programs.
“We welcome the public to join us as we gather to conduct the business of the Jurisdiction along with presenting information to spiritually strengthen and empower the general membership of the church,” he said.
“Friday’s agenda includes worship at 8 p.m., with the message by Bishop Freddie B. Marshall, Sr., pastor of Christ Cathedral Church of Deliverance in Winston-Salem, NC. Then, on Saturday at 12 noon, Women In Ministry will hold their General Session under the direction of Pastor Liz Gregory of Greater Circle Mission Church in Los Angeles,” added Bishop Worsham.
The General Assembly will also convene on Saturday at 2 p.m. Highlighting the session will be committee reports, the Episcopal Address, and ordination candidates presented by the Board of Presbyters. The 8 p.m. worship will feature preaching by Prophet John Brown, Sr., pastor of The Kingdom Church in Los Angeles.
The convocation will close on Sunday at 7:30 p.m., with the Official Day Service held at Trinity Church of Los Angeles, 3220 West 85th Street in Inglewood. Pastor Joseph C. Nixon of Ward A.M.E. Church in Los Angeles will be the keynote speaker.
