Children from L.A.’s Best After School Enrichment Program, Watts-Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club, the Brotherhood Crusade and Leaps n Boundz, an organization which provides adaptive sports, recreation and social programming for individuals with special needs, enjoyed a shopping spree at three Target locations. Each child was given a $100 gift card to do their Christmas shopping. The one rule, to buy at least one gift for someone else.
In addition to the shopping spree for the kids, four military families received funds to help them as they transition into permanent housing.
“This is one of the things I look forward to every year,” stated Paul. “Some of the kids don’t buy anything for themselves. They will purchase for siblings, parents and friends. It’s a blessing to be able to spend the day with them and to assist the military families.”
