Celebrating 41 Years of Outstanding Service

Dr. LeAndrea Fields-Robinson is a native of Texarkana, Texas. She is the fourth child born into a family of 18 brothers and sisters. She was educated in the public schools of Texarkana and graduated from Dunbar Senior High School.

After graduation she moved to Compton, California and attended Compton Junior College where she received her Associate of Arts degree. She graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology and with a minor in African American Studies. She holds a Master degree in Educational Administration and a Doctorate Degree in Christian Education. She was discharged with honor from the United States Army Reserve.

Dr. Fields-Robinson is retiring as the Assistant Principal, Secondary Counseling Services with the Los Angeles Unified School District. She began her professional career 41 years ago with the Los Angeles Unified School District as a Clerk Typist at Compton Avenue Elementary School and was promoted in 1974 to the position of Intermediate Clerk Typist at Garden Gate High School, later named Dorothy Johnson. Later she received her secondary teaching credential and Pupil Personnel Service Credential.

Her experiences are bountiful in the education arena. They include secondary teacher, grade level counselor, and generic assistant principal. Most of her career has been in the inner city school working with high-risk students.

Dr. Fields-Robinson serves on the Executive Board of the Kerrell June Tyes Education Consortium, a company that designs workshops and seminars. Its mission is to encourage ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Other professional affiliations are the Council of Black Administrators; Association of Middle School Administrators; Assistant Principal Secondary Organization; Associated Administrators of Los Angeles, N.A.A.C.P., and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Dr. Fields-Robinson is very actively involved in life in sharing her skills in the community. She serves as Sgt. At Arms for the Los Angeles South Bay Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Inc. Other activities includes His Sheltering Arms a sober living program for women, Delta Academy, a motivation program for young girls of color, and Food Bank for the needy. Most importantly, Dr. Fields-Robinson is a devoted Christian and serves in the vineyard for the Carver Foursquare Gospel Church in Compton, California. Her duties are church administrators, adult Sunday School teacher. She freely shares her time with the youth and membership at large.

Dr. Fields-Robinson is an active public speaker on a variety of topics ranging from inspiration, leadership, and personal growth and development.

Dr. Fields-Robinson celebrated her 31st year of marriage to Elder Albert Robinson Jr. They have successfully reared seven children. They are the proud grandparents to 15 grandchildren and six include completing the Chaplaincy Certificate program, volunteering at schools where her grandchildren attend and extensive travel.

Her dream vacation is to visit Australia and South Africa.
