Congregational Church of Christian Fellowship UCC will host the University of Southern California’s ‘Saved by Grace’ Gospel Choir and members of its Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs (CBCSA) on October 7, at 11 a.m., at 2085 South Hobart Boulevard in Los Angeles. Christ Second Baptist Church will observe its 105th Anniversary and Homecoming Service on October 7, at 1471 Martin Luther King, Jr., Avenue in Long Beach, said Pastor Welton Pleasant II.  The theme is ‘Celebrating Our Legacy: Pursuing Our Destiny’ based on Proverbs 22:28 and Philippians 3:14. At 9:40 a.m., the speaker will be Pastor Jerry M. Carter of Calvary Baptist Church in Morristown, NJ, and at 3:30 p.m., Bishop Alexis Thomas of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ, will preach.  The celebration continues on October 10, at 7 p.m., with Pastor H.B. Praises of Zion Missionary Baptist Church will conclude the 57th Appreciation Services for Pastor and Lady J.
