Brookins Community A.M.E. Church hosts CPR/First Aid Training conducted by the American Red Cross on March 29 at 9 a.m., at 4831 South Gramercy Place in Los Angeles, said Pastor Gregory K. West Angeles Performing Arts Theatre presents the play, ‘Blue God,’ on April 4-5 at 7 p.m., and April 6 at 5 p.m., at 3020 Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles, said Marshawn Metters, writer/director.  The faith-based production addresses contemporary issues affecting the modern family. Sisters in Ministry sponsors free ministerial training and coaching workshops on April 5 at 8:30 a.m., at New Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 402 East El Segundo Boulevard in Los Angeles, said Pastor Sonja R. Dawson, SIM CEO and founder.  Sessions include ‘Preaching with Freshness,’ ‘Role of the Worship Leader,’ and ‘Winning Men to Christ.’ The registration deadline is March 31 on a first come, first served basis.
