Community Chapel Church presents ‘Women Who Worship’ sponsored by the Daughters of Destiny on June 28 at 7:30 p.m., at 1307 North Willowbrook Avenue in Compton. Second Baptist Church holds ‘100 Women in White Candlelight Service’ on June 30 at 3:30 p.m., at 2412 Griffith Avenue in Los Angeles, said Pastor William J. Epps. The Rev. Dr. Venus Butler is guest speaker, the Honorable Diane Watson is emcee and Dr. Agnes Martin is program chair. Attendees are asked to bring shoes to honor lives lost by gun violence. Life Changing Ministries distributes free shoes, backpacks and school supplies on July 28 at 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., at 5395 N. “F” Street in San Bernardino.
