Daughters of Faith Women’s Ministry presents ‘The Curse is Broken Conference 2014’ on July 10-12, at the Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport Hotel, 2640 North Lakewood Boulevard in Long Beach, said Prophetess Fannette Douglas, host. The theme is ‘Rebuke the Storm’ based on Luke 8:24. Psalms Gospel Entertainment sponsors ‘Reppin the Kingdom’ on July 11 at 8 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall at Bethel A.M.E. Traveler’s Rest Baptist Church holds its Men and Women’s Day Worship Services on July 13 at 1417 East Florence Avenue in Los Angeles.  The theme is ‘Forgetting the Past, Appreciating the Present and Moving Into the Future’ based on Philippians 3:13-14.  At 8 a.m., Elder Parris Broughten of New Life in Christ Church of God in Christ will preach.  At 11 a.m., Minister Rose Neale will bring the message. Greater New Light Baptist Church hosts Annual Men and Women’s Day on July 13 at 1154 East 92nd Street in Los Angeles, said Pastor Patrick D. Ross.  The theme is ‘Men and Women Called to Walk in Unity’ based on Ephesians 4:1-4. At 11 a.m., Pastor Jeraldine W. Patterson of Crusade Christian Faith Center will deliver the sermon. At 3:30 p.m., Pastor Jacob D.R. Johnson of Growing Valley Baptist Church will preach. The theme is ‘Breaking down Barriers and Overcoming the Struggle of Low Self Esteem.’ Topics include bullying, teen dating violence, sex trafficking, body image and gang affiliation.  The panelists are the Rev.
