Bethel Missionary Baptist Church will sponsor its Back to School Festival on August 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 10905 South Compton Avenue in Los Angeles.  The Rev. Dr. Reginald A. Pope is pastor. KRST Unity Center of Afrakan Spiritual Science presents ‘A Day of Celebration’ with jazz, hip-hop and spoken word on August 25, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., at 7825 South Western Avenue in Los Angeles.
