The Mary M. Kidd Women’s Missionary Society (WMS) observes its Annual Day celebration on Sunday, July 20, at 9 a.m., at Brookins Community A.M.E. Church, 4831 South Gramercy Place in Los Angeles.

“Our guest speaker will be Dr. Kaye Lindsey who serves as the first lady of the Los Angeles/San Diego/Las Vegas District of the Fifth Episcopal District of the A.M.E. Church,” said Pastor Gregory K. McLeod.  “Please join us in saluting the tremendous work of our missionaries under the leadership of Mrs. Katie Johnson.”

After a 40-year career, Dr. Lindsey retired as vice president of operations in California for State Farm Insurance Company.  In that capacity, she directed four vice presidents and 8,000 employees throughout the state.

A graduate of Pacific Christian College and the Wharton Executive Business program at Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Lindsey also earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Western State University of Law.  In addition, she is a certified Executive Coach and Motivational Speaker, a Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a board member on the USC-Cecil Murray Center for Community Engagement.

Dr. Lindsey is married to the Rev. Roosevelt Lindsey, presiding elder of the LA/SD/LV District.  They are the parents of one daughter and two grandchildren.
