A good friend the owner of E.J. Jackson’s Limousine Services died Tuesday of a heart attack. He was 66. Jackson, a former all-city linebacker at Manual Arts High and played football at Cal-State Long Beach State. E.J, gave needy families turkeys and baskets during the holidays. I wasn’t a buddy, buddy, with E.J. Jackson, To my surprise he sent a driver and one of his limousines to pick me and my family up and take us to my retirement dinner after 24-years of service as Assistant Chief Deputy for the late L.A. County Supervisor Kenny Hahn. Belated thanks E.J. Jackson, you really made me and my family feel like somebody special. .
