The Theater of Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood will host an innovative first when Roy Englebrect Events in association with American Dream Promotions presents a new series; 'Rock This Box', an evening of world class boxing and music including two world titles and concert on Saturday March 21, 2009.
Rising light heavyweight prospect and former WBF champion Ron 'The American Dream' Johnson (10-1, 3 KOs) of Cleveland, Ohio (training in Las Vegas under Floyd Mayweather Sr.), returns to the ring to go after his second belt against hard-hitting Batesville, Mississippi contender John Johnson (12-2, 10 KOs) in the main event as they fight for the WBF World Title.
The 23-year old 'American Dream' Johnson is considered one of the most attractive young fighters in the sport and is determined to be the star of the five-bout card.
The Co-Feature is also a World Title fight. Slated to perform is dazzling undefeated women bantamweight superstar Melinda Cooper of Las Vegas who will pit her 19-0 (11 KOs) record against Albuquerque, New Mexico veteran Monica Lovato (12-1, 4 KOs) in the co-feature as they battle for the IFBA World Title.
This unique night of boxing in a most intimate setting will unveil 'Rock This Box' a
new format inserting a mini-concert prior to the main event and will also introduce the 'Ringside Ultra Lounge' comfort seating complete with Las Vegas style "bottle service" for celebrities, former boxing greats and desired fans.
Tickets are priced from $50 to $350 and will be available in advance of the event at ticketmaster.com
