Bishop J. Faraja Kafela

Bishop J. Faraja Kafela shares a view of being alone with God in his latest book, ‘I’m Just Saying, The Confessions of a Condemned Christian Servant Leader.’  The 40-day conversation takes the reader on a journey of spiritual transformation and discovery.

According to Bishop Kafela, “‘I’m Just Saying’ is a focused practical process where in spending time with God each day, we through various circumstances, challenges, and choices seek to hear God’s clear instructions for our lives as He judges each day worthy of spending time with us.”

The devotional derives from the relationship of the number forty and fulfillment of promises in the scripture, said Bishop Kafela, in the section entitled, ‘Why A Forty Day Devotional?’

He writes, “Where do you spend most of your time, on a mountain or in a valley?  The valley is the only route to our personal promised land; there is no alternate route.  Mountains are where God calls us, test us and bring us a message of hope to proclaim to his people.”

‘I’m Just Saying’ is the fourth book by Bishop Kafela. His other works are ‘Laugh Out Loud in the Face of Your Swagga Jackers,’ ‘Pursuing The Mystery of Perfection: Growing in Grace and Knowledge,’ and ‘The Theology of Focus.’

Professionally, he is the senior pastor of Imani Christian Cathedral and the presiding prelate of the Bridge Network Covenant Fellowship of Associated Churches and Independent Ministries. Bishop Kafela is also the founder of the Shelter T. White Institute of Biblical Studies, a certificate and degree program for ministers and lay leaders.
