Bishop Gwendolyn Phillips-Coates will be the guest preacher for Annual Missionary Day at Second A.M.E. Church, said Pastor John E. Cager.

The service will be held on Sunday, January 29, at 11 a.m., at 5500 South Hoover Street in Los Angeles.

“The greater Los Angeles community is invited to celebrate with us as we salute the tremendous efforts of our Mary A. Campbell Women’s Missionary Society and hear a Christ-centered sermon by Bishop Phillips-Coates, the presiding prelate of the Fourth Episcopal District of the Dominion Assembly of Christian Churches,” said Rev. Cager.

The theme of the service is ‘Missionaries Moving Forward, Living A Life Of Purpose And Meaning’ with a scriptural reference of Isaiah 40:41. Sister Peggy Williams is WMS president and Sister Alma Lurry is first vice-president and program chair.
