Pastor Kelvin T. Calloway and the congregation of Bethel A.M.E. Church plan a two-day celebration to recognize their 92nd anniversary of ministry and service in South Los Angeles.

The observance begins on Saturday, November 16, at 6 p.m., with ‘Showtime at Bethel,’ featuring Bethel’s youth and young adults.

The celebration continues on Sunday, November 17, at the 7:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. At 4 p.m., the culmination service takes place with Pastor Ticey Brown and the members of Mount Tabor Baptist Church as the special guests.

“We encourage everyone in the greater Los Angeles area to join us in marking this momentous occasion as we recognize Bethel’s rich history of active participation and diligent response to the needs of the South Los Angeles community,” said Pastor Calloway.

The theme is ‘Remembering Our Past, Preserving Our Present and Looking Forward to Our Future’ based on Psalm 92:12-13.  Brother Demiko Fitzgerald is the Anniversary Chair.

Bethel A.M.E. Church is located at 7900 South Western Avenue in Los Angeles. For information, call (323) 750-3240.
