BET Media Group is back at it again announcing the first wave of performers and programming for the BET Experience 2025, which is a multi-day celebration of Black music, culture, and community set to take place in Los Angeles from June 5 through June 8, leading up to the “BET Awards” on June 9.
The series kicks off with reggae icon Buju Banton, who will open the week’s festivities on Wednesday, June 5 with a headlining performance at the Hollywood Palladium. On Saturday, June 8, the beloved Roots Picnic returns with an all-star lineup under the banner “A Roots Picnic Experience: Class of ’95” held at the iconic Hollywood Bowl. The evening will feature performances by The Roots, Lil’ Kim, Redman & Method Man, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Raekwon, Goodie Mob, E-40, DJ Quik, and Havoc, among others.
In a nod to its deep R&B roots, BET will host BET R&B Night at the YouTube Theater on June 8, presenting an unforgettable evening with Jagged Edge, Donell Jones, and Eric Bellinger. The show will also feature a special set by R&B ONLY, with performances by Tiára Monique and JABARI, along with the brand’s signature DJ sets carrying the energy throughout the night.
Pre-sale tickets for BET R&B Night are available now at BETExperience.com, with tickets for Buju Banton and the Roots Picnic also on sale.
Returning this year is the fan-favorite BETX FanFest, a free two-day event hosted at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 7 and 8, offering attendees a mix of live music, panels, and immersive cultural experiences.
For the first time, BET Experience partners with the WayMaker Men’s Summit, taking place June 5–6 at The Beehive by SoLa Impact. The summit will bring together men of color for two days of conversation, networking, and community-building. Registration is open now at waymakersummit.com.
BET Experience 2025 is presented in partnership with Live Nation Urban, whose concert and cultural programming continues to shape the landscape of live Black entertainment. Additional announcements around performers, speakers, and special appearances are expected in the coming weeks.
This year’s Experience sets the stage for what BET is calling “Culture’s Biggest Week,” transforming the traditional lead-up to the BET Awards into a full-scale celebration across Los Angeles.
