Assemblymember Isadore Hall, III Named Legislator of the Year by the West Basin Municipal Water District
Assistant Speaker pro Tempore Isadore Hall, III (D – Los Angeles) has been honored as the 2010 Legislator of the Year by the West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin).
Assemblymember Hall, who previously served as a Director of the Metropolitan Water District in Los Angeles County is being honored for his legislative leadership on issues related to the San Joaquin Bay Delta, California’s water supply crisis, approval of the historic Safe, Clean, and Reliable Drinking Water Supply Act of 2010 and his environmental stewardship.
“I want to personally thank the Board of Directors and my friends at the West Basin Municipal Water District for this award,” said Assemblymember Hall. “West Basin Municipal Water District has been a proven leader in making clean, reliable and affordable drinking and recycled water available to nearly one million southern Californians. I am pleased to partner with them in finding legislative solutions to meet our state’s water needs.”
West Basin is an innovative public agency that provides drinking and recycled water to a 185-square mile service area in Los Angeles County. The agency is the sixth largest water district in California, serving a population of nearly one million people and is a recognized leader in the production of recycled water, conservation and water use education programs.
