Armond Tennyson Tollette
August 12, 1951 – December 15, 2017
Armond Tennyson Tollette was born on August 12, 1951 in Kansas City, Kansas. He moved to Los Angeles, CA with his family in 1958 and was educated in LAUSD public schools. Upon graduating from Dorsey High in 1969, he attended USIU(formally Cal Western University) in San Diego, and obtained a Bachelors of Public Administration from USC in 1974. After graduating from Meharry Medical College in 1982, he specialized in emergency medicine and practiced for 25 years. In addition to being an avid cyclist and African art collector, he was a gourmet cook and food enthusiast who created many memorable dishes. On December 15, 2017 he passed away in Culver City after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, 1/13/18 at 10 AM at Angeles Funeral Home, 3875 S. Chrenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. 90008.
