Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church will honor Pastor Solomon and First Lady Isabelle Drake at the 31st Appreciation Services.

The celebrations are set for Sunday, September 15 and Sunday, September 22, in the sanctuary located at 5300 South Denker Street in Los Angeles.

The theme is ‘Our Pastor Who Has Accepted His Charge.’ The scriptural references are 2 Timothy 4:1-5 and Acts 10:42.

On September 15 at 4 p.m., the guests will be Pastor Terry Brown and the congregation of Liberty Baptist Church. The following Sunday is designated ‘Family and Homecoming’ with associate ministers and deacons leading the morning worship.

The 4 p.m. service on September 22 will feature the Rev. Harold M. Pittman, an ordained minister and director of Greater Ebenezer’s Music Ministry. Also, each ministry of the church will make presentations to Pastor and Lady Drake.

“We are excited and joyful to celebrate 31 years of working together with Pastor and Sister Drake for the cause of Christ. They are committed to Christ, His church and His people,” said Deacon Errol Brown, program co-chair.

“We are delighted to extend an invitation to all to join us in these two days of celebrating our pastoral family,” added Deaconess Theda Brown, program co-chair.
