A Stage with a View

As we sang on the Wave Stage along with LTD forever, around noon, there was a sea of people all the way to Rodeo Road. It was such a magnificent sight to see. A uniform front – all out for a Taste of Soul – music and tremendous food for the palette.

Once the performance on the Wave stage was done, I had to maneuver my way back to the L.A. Praise Stage, where some of the most talented performers in Los Angeles and many other states gave praise through song, spoken word, and dance.

The Brothers of Excellence had such a healing sound especially that guitarist who made electric sounds come out of that amp that are far from common. Bishop Frederick Barr put on a show that could have been anointed by none other than the Holy Spirit. When he sang and praised the Lord, it was as if he were walking on water the way his feet literally floated across that stage, it was truly breath taking. He was in the line up after his lovely wife, Ericka, who had the audience entrenched with her melodic songs of praise. J&J’s Soulful Step Soul line had many up line dancing and laughing, having a great time with one another in the fresh air with home cooked aromas.

There is nothing more intriguing than seeing the youngsters who rap for the Lord and other artist singing praises deeply from the consciousness of their spirit like Brother Kanchuz, Que Survivor 1, The Prodigal Sons, Michael the Arc Angel, Guandi, Hope Carr, Rare Breed, Sunny Dayz, Micah Aaron, Hope Walker, Kareema Anderson, Don Floss, Alwaz Carey, Suppa Star aka J. Clark, Kynne, Eric “EJ” Jerome, K.I.D. Nation, God’s Little Angels, Sho, Patrice Morris, and Greater Shiloh CGC.

Also on the L.A. Praise Stage was Pastor Theo Wilkins, Cool Breeze, Deborra and by His Grace band, William B., Innate Praise, Walker Temple A.M.E. Sweetie Chicks, Jessica Lauren, Maurice Ingram, Cynthia Simmons, Evangelist Debra Johnson, Maisha Knight, Maisha Woods, Madelyn Moseley and True Way, Errol Gillette, and Pastor Hamilton.

Abraham McDonald came on stage with the awesomeness of his presence and shared some of his brand new CD songs that were so appropriate for the day, that it made the crowd just feel their internal spirit emanate with peace.

Thank You to all who participated on the L.A. Praise Stage !!!! You all were immensely enjoyed. The Sentinel would also like to give many appreciative thanks for Linda Myles, Marva Smith, Andre Ray of LTD Forever, Keischa Potter, Dante and special thanks to the Blue Morning Quintet for backing all the performers on the V.I.P. Stage.
