A child’s body was found as Jennifer Hudson’s family prepares for worse

A child’s body was found in a white Chevrolet Suburban and the family of Oscar winning actress Jennifer Hudson is assuming the worse.

A national amber alert regarding Hudson’s nephew, Julian King, rang out late Friday evening after Police confirmed the death of Hudson mother Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, on Friday afternoon.

It was reported that a family member came to their home in the 7000 block of South Yale Avenue and saw signs of violence inside. The murders and realization that 7-year-old Julian King was missing sparked a search for the boy and a manhunt for William Balfour, 27, the estranged husband of the boy's mother, Julia Hudson.

The boy remained missing through a long weekend in which police and volunteers posted fliers around the city with pictures of the boy. On Sunday, the family offered a $100,000 reward to anyone who found the boy.

Police confirmed the Suburban’s Illinois license plate number X584859 and that a child’s body was found inside.  The SUV was towed away for evidence processing. Neighbors disputed how long it had been there.

The Chicago Tribune reported that a resident of the block, LaShaun Bouie, 36, said it must have appeared after 3 a.m. Monday morning. Rasheem Jackson, 21, who lives a block away, thinks he remembers seeing it as early as Saturday. Police received a call for a suspicious car at 7 a.m.

If the boy is identified as Julian King, it will confirm detectives' worst fears because a law enforcement source said bullet casings were found in the boy's room on Friday. But the source said they had not found other evidence of violence in the room.
