Millennium Invited to Serve as Partner to the White House Young America Series

Notable Los Angeles-Based Charity Accepts Invitation to Partner & Accompany Senior White House Officials to Engage Young Americans

In partnership with Millennium Momentum Foundation, Inc. and the U.S. Department of Education, The White House Young America Series are regional conferences that are set to be held across the country this spring.  The conferences are designed to connect Obama Administration officials with young community, civic, non-profit and business leaders to discuss issues critical to young Americans and identify solutions to meet the challenges of the 21st century.  Millennium Momentum Foundation, Inc., one of the leading charitable providers of leadership development training in the nation, will support this historic initiative given its demonstrated ability to effectively reach, educate, train, and professionally advance young adults.

The non-partisan conferences will establish a space where young leaders can meaningfully engage and interact with officials from the Obama Administration on diverse policy areas that affect their community.  In addition, participants will address policy and programmatic areas of importance, while identifying local success stories and practices in policy areas that could benefit other communities across the country.  Finally, the conferences will also allow participants to connect with each other and Obama Administration officials to share tools and community solutions that can be leveraged to address larger issues.  Millennium Momentum Foundation, Inc. will utilize its expertise as a model training program serving young adults to help shape the agenda for each of the targeted regions to ensure that local needs and perspectives are incorporated, lend volunteer support to meet logistical and promotional needs, and will identify and secure resources to support and advance the initiative in each targeted region.

On Monday, February 27, 2012, Arizona State University – Tempe Campus hosted the first of this multi-city series designed to bridge President Obama’s vision with the needs of young people by connecting them with the local and national resources and networks they need to meet the challenges of the 21st century.  The next scheduled White House Young America Series conference is set for Omaha, Nebraska on April 6, 2012.  Other cities in the series scheduled include, but are not limited to; New Orleans, LA; Chicago, IL;  Los Angeles, CA; Austin, TX; Detroit, MI; Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; Charlottesville, VA, Raleigh, NC; Syracuse, NY, Omaha, NE and more.

“As we press forward further into our historical 10th Anniversary year of service delivery in 2012, we are honored to accept this opportunity and support the vision of President Obama to engage and advance deserving young people around the Nation with this very essential initiative in partnership”, said Jason L. Seward, Founder & CEO of Millennium Momentum Foundation, Inc.
