LA Lakers come out to celebrate with Matt Barnes

Reality T.V. star Gloria Govan Host ‘Welcome To Los Angeles’ Party for Matt Barnes the newest L.A. Lakers Basketball Player. In addition, several Lakers and wives came out to support the NBA couple.

This past Saturday, several Los Angeles Lakers came out to support Matt Barnes’ ‘Welcome to Los Angeles’ party which was held at the newest Hollywood night club ‘supperclub los angeles’. Barnes’ fiancé Gloria Govan, who is known from VH1’s “Basketball Wives,” hosted the night in a beautiful Dahlia dress and sparkling orange and silver shoes. Guests were welcomed first into a red glowing champagne room and pampered with a delicious appetizers and sipping wine cocktails by Prosecco. Eight hundred attendees came out to enjoy the night in a white walled room with baby blue lights that tinted the room. A series of aerialist glided through the air with different story theme that gave a Cirque Du Soleil type-of-feel.


Along the perimeter of the room were white couches which you immediately found the Matt Barnes section and hanging out were Derek Fisher, his wife Candace, Shannon Brown and his fiancé and songstress Monica, Lamar Odom and his sizzling wife Khloe Kardashian who giggled among themselves in Barnes’ VIP section. In addition, Steve Blake and his wife Kristen, danced away, which was very impressive since the entire VIP section was like walking on someone’s white leather couch with four inch heels on. Several other players were sighted at the party including Devin Ebanks, Derrick Caracter and Luke Walton and actors Quinton Aaron and Aldis Hodge.

Several other celebrities attended which include Suzie Ketcham who co-stars with Gloria Govan in VH1 “Basketball Wives” who was seen having a drink with VH1’s “Football Wives” co-star Mercedes Nelson. Not to far away, NBA couple Doug and Jackie Christie was admiring the décor while Gilbert Arenas’ (Washington Wizards) fiancé, Laura Govan surprised the media by being four months pregnant with Arenas’ fourth child. 

This welcoming event was produced by Darel Boykin, Dave Brown, Queens Entertainment Group,Inc, Avid Exposure and was in support of Barnes’ foundation Athletes Versus Cancer.
