“Assemblymember Hall is an ideal candidate for Congress because of his knowledge and experience. He has a detailed understanding of what our region needs to thrive and grow,” said Carson Mayor Jim Dear. “He will also work harder than anyone to stand up for the core values of the Democratic Party. I’m proud to stand with Isadore Hall’s campaign for Congress.”

“Isadore Hall is a proven fighter for our community.  He has already delivered for Compton as a School Board Member, as a Councilmember and as an Assemblymemember.  Isadore will be a powerful voice for Compton in the United States Congress.  To be frank, this is one of the easiest endorsement decisions I have ever had to make,” said Compton Councilmember Yvonne Arceneaux.

“Isadore Hall is one of California’s most energetic and dynamic public servants. I am incredibly excited at the prospect of him representing Lynwood in Congress,” said Lynwood Mayor Aide Castro.  “He is a true grassroots candidate and I look forward to playing an active role in his campaign.”

“I’m endorsing Isadore Hall for Congress because he understands that South L.A. deserves good schools, good jobs, and high-quality public services,” said Carson City Councilmember Mike Gipson.  “I trust Isadore to fight for businesses and communities on Main Street over bailouts for Wall Street or unwise wars abroad.”

Hall is a former two term President of the Compton Unified School District Board of Trustees. He was elected to the Compton City Council in 2003 where he served in various leadership positions including Mayor pro Tempore.  Hall was elected to the California State Assembly in 2008 and served as Assistant Speaker pro Tempore during his first term. He currently serves as a member of the Appropriations, Elections and Redistricting and Human Services Committees. He chairs the Assembly Committee on Government Organization.

The youngest of six children, Hall was born and raised in the City of Compton.  Hall holds

a bachelors degree in Business Administration, a Masters Degree in Management and Leadership from the University of Southern California, a Masters Degree in Public Administration from National University and will be conveyed his Ph.D. from Next Dimension Bible College later this summer.

No incumbent member of Congress currently lives in the proposed Congressional District.
