The Rev. Rethis Murry will bring the Gospel message on Sunday, Oct. 29, at the 9 a.m. worship service of Brookins-Kirkland Community AME Church, located at 3719 West Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles, announced Pastor Mary S. Minor.
“We invite the public to worship with us and experience a spirit-filled time in the Lord,” said Dr. Minor. “Rev. Murry is a powerful preacher who is dedicated to the work of the Lord. You will be uplifted and encouraged by his sermon.”

Murry is the pastor of Allen Chapel Community AME Church in Colton, California. Prior to this appointment, he headed St. Mark AME Church as the senior pastor. Also, he previously served on the ministerial staff at St. James AME Church, Second AME Church, and First AME Church of Los Angeles.
In the area of community service, Murry is active in various grassroots organizations including the Los Angeles County Sheriff/Clergy Council, Black and Brown Coalition, and California Highway Patrol Clergy Partnership. In addition, he created the Bible Café to provide an outlet for young people to express themselves.
