The steps to transform a homeownership dream into reality will be outlined at the 2023 Black Homeownership Fair. The free in-person event takes place on Saturday, March 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 3841 W. 130th St., in Hawthorne.
The organizers – FACELA, Los Angeles County African American Employee Association and the African Consular Corps – will share details on applying for up to $140,000 in downpayment assistance offered by the City of Los Angeles and L.A. County along with information on matching bank and government grant. Other topics covered will be special loan products, rebuilding credit, and foreclosure prevention.
