To those who are fear stricken; paralyzed in doubt and fear; wondering what’s happening? Don’t worry. Everything is all right. God is in control. Many might say, “Where is He?” Watch! The adversary would have you believe he’s in control. No. No. No. The Almighty is sitting in the heavenlies, observing what will be the world’s response to “the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic? By the way, what is a pandemic? It is the worldwide spread of a new disease,” “an epidemic that has spread over several countries or continents, usually affecting a large number of people.” (verywellhealth.com). The COVID-19 pandemic is distinct from previous global outbreaks.
Starting in wuhan, China, in late December, the virus has killed at least 4,600 people and infected approximately 120,000 in more than 115 countries.” (Environment & Science, Health, Nation & World, News) “The first recorded pandemic may have been a flu-related outbreak that started in Asia in the summer of 1580. The 1918 flu pandemic, also carried by the H1N1 virus, killed 40 million to 50 million people, the deadliest in recorded history. A new flu strain detected in China’s Yunnan province in 1957 killed 1 to 2 million people. The Hong Kong flu pandemic killed approximately 500,000 to 2 million people in the late 1960’s. “Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus that had not been previously identified in humans. Healthline states, “The new coronavirus, officially called SARS-CoV-2 causes the disease COVID-19. This is getting to be too technical. So, what are we to do?
James 4:8 says, “wash your hands and purify your hearts.” Sounds good to me. He goes on to talk about boasting in self-confidence and what you are going to do today or tomorrow. Lol, I had been walking around and saying before Kobe passed, “We don’t know when He will call us. No person knows the date, time or hour. Consider this: Now this surprise. Isn’t it time to stop, look and listen!
Look at all the empty sports arenas and other buildings, scant flights, closed schools. Look at the void and emptiness. If you know what to do in the sight of the Lord, do it. If you have doubt about doing something, proceed with caution, pray and decide. Let’s re-evaluate our lives. What are we doing? What is our purpose? What really matters? Do you know your destiny? Let’s believe happy thoughts and happy things. Be not afraid. Be not dismayed. God wants our attention. How about stop watching excessive television.
Not worrying about being entertained constantly. Forgive. Yes, even our enemies. Love others. Yes. Even those we don’t like. Be kind, tenderhearted and forgive one another. That’s the right way to do. Believe the Lord and have faith in Him. He knows and loves us all. Nothing goes beyond His purvue. Watch and pray.
