Transfiguration Catholic School students

Transfiguration Catholic Elementary School is accepting applications for its newly established Pastor’s Scholarship Fund.

According to Pastor Michael Tang, the scholarships range from $500 to $2,500 and will be awarded based on academic achievement, family involvement in the Transfiguration community, and at local parishes that do not have Catholic schools on site.

“This is a tremendous way to welcome new families into our school and it’s an opportunity to help families who cannot afford the full tuition bill,” said Father Tang.

The school is accepting transfer students for the spring second semester and fall semester in all grades except pre-kindergarten. The application deadlines are March 8 for the spring and July 1 for the fall.

“The Pastor’s Scholarship Fund is $40,000 based on a $20,000 gift from a Burbank family and matched by donations from Transfiguration’s own parish donors.  The Burbank donor believes in the value of Catholic schools and wants to help us increase our enrollment,” explained Father Tang.

Transfiguration School is an accredited parish school located at 4020 Roxton Avenue serving pre-K through 8th grade and welcomes students of all faiths, ethnic background and economic circumstances. The school provides a rigorous core curriculum, fine and performing arts and counseling services.
