The ROCK Christian Fellowship will distribute 500 boxes of food for the Thanksgiving holiday on Saturday, November 23.

Officially called ‘Renewable Hope Thanksgiving Food Project 2013,’ the giveaway will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Central Facility Center in Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 1133 Rhea Street in Long Beach.

“Renewable Hope is our initiative of optimism. It is not a recruitment strategy. It is not a subterfuge with a counter agenda. This is a committed resource to remind families that hope is renewable daily,” said Pastor Gregory Sanders.

“Our core model of ministry is not ‘come and see.’ Our commission is to ‘go and tell.’ Renewable Hope allows us to fulfill our commitment to freely give what we have been given to others.  Everyone is urged to share this opportunity with their neighbors and friends.”
