“The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” is on its way… and DADA is Looking for a Few Good Dancers…

The Debbie Allen Dance Academy is soon to begin the audition process for the Hot Chocolate Nutcracker.

The Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) is gearing up for the holidays with the return of one of its hit productions, “The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker.” DADA will be holding auditions for dancers of all types.

The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker is a spicy twist on the original play with African-American themes, original characters and charged dance choreography. The story follows young Kara after she receives a nutcracker filled with hot chocolate and falls asleep visiting various lands such as Egypt, Candy Cane Lane and the Land of the Kimono Dolls to name a few.

Auditions to be held:

*Friday, September 21st @6:30pm- For Boys 13 and older

*Saturday, September 22nd @1:00pm- For Girls 13 and older

                                                     @2:45pm- Girls 8-12

                                                      @5:00pm Boys 8 and older

 *Sunday, September 23rd @9am-2:00pm: Call Backs

DADA is looking for dancers strong in Ballet, Tap, Flamenco, Hip Hop and Gymnastics is a plus! Potential hopefuls must bring their headshots and resumes. Girls are being asked to bring their Pointe Shoes. All auditions will take place at DADA. This production will be filmed for television broadcast!
