Los Angeles, California- On October 20th, at the 7th Annual Taste of Soul Family Festival, The Los Angeles Sentinel and Bakewell Media, Creator of Taste of Soul, will launch StarQuest, a new entertainment stage for its inaugural Talent Search Singing Competition.
Auditions held on October 11th at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza from 9:00 – 3:00 pm. will result in the selection of twelve (12) StarQuest semi-finalists who will perform on the StarQuest Stage on the day of Taste of Soul (October 20th). From the pool of twelve (12) semi-finalists, two (2) finalists will be selected. One (1) finalist will perform on The Wave (94.7 FM) Stage and the other finalist will perform on the Radio Free KJLH (102.3 FM) Stage in front of an expected crowd of 250,000 people during the Taste of Soul Family Festival.
The semi-finalists were judged and selected by a panel of judges, who scored their performances. The Judges included but are were limited to Executive Producer, Tony Cornelius, son of the Legendary Creator Don Cornelius of Soul Train, Yvette Bailey (Former Soul Train Producer), Talent executive, Rayva Harrell (Nickelodeon’s All That, The Steve Harvey Morning Show), and surprise celebrity guests judges.
