.Serra (5-0)…no slowing the Cavalier train now with all of their tough games behind them. Harvard Westlake sound like a nice little treat for Halloween.
.Long Beach Poly (5-1)… The Jackrabbits scored on six of their twelve first-half offensive plays, and led 34-0 after the first quarter en route to a 54-0 victory over hapless Compton and will host L.B. Jordan for homecoming this week.
.Redondo Union…(4-1)…takes on Palos Verdes to continue to prove they belong in the big leagues.
.Loyola (3-3)…pulled their record even with a 39-20-shootout win against Valencia. Now comes the one that will determine their ultimate course. ALEMANY!
.Venice (3-2)…you know that Venice can score with anybody, but the question remains if they can stop a good team when they have to. Took care of one monkey on their back at Dorsey. See round up.
.San Pedro (4-1)…needed a touchdown to survive Fairfax 21-14, but will have to be on top of their game when they visits Carson for the Marine League opener on Friday.
.Narbonne…(3-2)…well rested for Banning this week in their Marine League opener.
.Crenshaw (1-4)…allowed 28 points in the first quarter and 27 in the fourth in a spanking at the hands of mighty St. John Bosco, losing 75-35. The Braves are among the top teams in the nation for a reason. The proud Cougars have allowed 194 points in five games. Host Locke this Friday in the beginning of running the table.
.South East (6-0)…scored 89 points in the previous two games. Last week clobbered L.A. Jordan 59-6. Plays Garfield this week and is just four wins away from completing an undefeated regular season. Are they this good?
.Dorsey (2-3)…showed life in that dogfight against Venice last week. Visits Rancho Dominguez Prep this week in the trap game, the one before they collide with Crenshaw in “The Classic”!
