Offering praise, music and dance, the Music and Sunday School Departments of Price Chapel A.M.E. Church will present a ‘Celebration of Black History’ on Sunday, February 22 at 5 p.m.

According to Pastor Cedric V. Alexander, the program will be held in the Price Chapel sanctuary located at 4000 West Slauson Boulevard in Los Angeles

“This is a celebration you do not want to miss! Our program includes gospel selections by the Voices of Price and ‘African Spiritual to Down Home Southern Spiritual’ praise dancing choreographed by Donna Castleberry.

“In addition, Minister of Music Carl Johnson will direct an original play depicting Harriet Tubman’s escape to freedom and her role in the Underground Rail Road, and Rosa Parks’ quest for freedom and equality when refusing to give up her seat on the bus.

“We encourage greater Los Angeles to join us for this memorable program,” said Pastor Alexander.

For information, call the Price Chapel church office at (323) 296-2406.
