We mourn the passing of one of God’s most outstanding leaders, Nelson Mandela. When apartheid crucified millions of people in South Africa on the cross of racial bigotry, and buried them in the tombs of economic exploitation, Nelson Mandela stepped up to the plate and made a sacrifice that would revolutionize not only South Africa, but also the entire world.
He inspired all of us to be not weary in well doing because in due season we shall reap if we faint not. He did not die on December 5th, he will live on in the lives of millions. His life speaks volumes for those of us that remain in the struggle.
Having served as the Presiding Bishop in Africa, it was my distinct pleasure to be photographed with Nelson Mandela and his granddaughter. May God bless his family and may God continue to bless this world.
