Karlotta Nelson Muhammad October 18, 1942 – June 26, 2013

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 8 at Calvary Chapel of the Harbour for Sister Karlotta Nelson Muhammad, who made her transition on June 26, 2013.Sister Karlotta grew up, nourished in a culturally rich home environment.  She attended Detroit public schools, along with her sisters and brother.  Her parents gave origin to her special talents in the arts (painting and fashion design), entrepreneurship (business/landowner), and civil activism (Nation of Islam, Pan Africanism and cultural awareness).  Sister Karlotta is survived by her two sons, Kelly Anderson and Kahlil Nelson, eldest sister Mother Tynnetta Muhammad, sister Pamela Nelson Bahar, brother Omega “Butch” Nelson, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and extended family.
