The right to vote is a sacred honor, right and responsibility that so many African Americas have fought and died for. We must honor the memory and remember the pain sacrifice and wisdom of their efforts. The Los Angeles Sentinel encourages everyone to exercise this right to vote in this country and throughout this nation.
The Sentinel believes that Janice Hahn represents the ideals, values and leadership that will best serve our community in achieving the quality of life that we continually strive for, not only for this generation but also for generations to come.
“I’m running for Congress to create new jobs, expand clean energy technologies and ensure that local small business owners get the help and opportunities they need to flourish in a global economy,” said Hahn.
She has served in local government for almost a decade, and has a family history of service. Her public service runs in the family: her father is former Los Angeles County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn, and her brother is former Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn. Hahn was previously the Democratic nominee for the 36th Congressional District in 1998.
Hahn is passionate and emphatic about serving the 36 th congressional district and has said “I plan to work hard to win this seat. I am ready to run and ready to serve the people of the 36th District.”
