Heston, an Atlanta-based musician, composer, songwriter and producer possesses one of those rare, “instant classic” voices laced with confident sensuality, informed by the best side of mellow 70’s soul. His music has received stellar reviews, both national and international airplay, and he has performed at some of the top venues around the country and abroad, to include Europe and the Caribbean. His portfolio includes the world famous Blue Note Jazz Club, Blues Alley, Apollo Theatre, Highline Ballroom, Emancipation Park (Jamaica), The Jazz Café (London), Bizz Art Club (Paris, France), The Union Chapel Islington (London), The Tabernacle and numerous venues.
Born on the Island of Dominica (British West Indies), Heston grew up with music all around him. Being surrounded by reggae, pop, classical, soul, R&B, rock music was commonplace. So, it is no surprise that radio, along with a collection of his father’s records, would open the key to his soul and love for all types of music –From Barbara Streisand to Aretha Franklin, The Bee Gees, Marvin Gaye, Elton John, Beres Hammond, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson (to name a few) — as evident in his music.
Heston is no stranger to the music industry, his 2008 independent debut album, Storyteller, was an instant hit in Europe and was critically acclaimed internationally and possessed an exceptionally well-composed body of original songs written and produced by Heston. “Creating timeless music has always been my ultimate goal,” says Heston with a poised, yet humble demeanor. “I want to leave the world with music that can be played for a lifetime.” Storyteller was name to the “Top 5 Soul Albums” of 2008 and also won two Soul Tracks Award Nominations. In 2009, BET J nominated Heston for “Independent Artist of the Year”.
Heston released his sophomore album, Warm Human, Cold World (World Soul Music/Dome Records) in 2011. The album charted #1 for three weeks on Solar Radio in Europe and also hit the charts as one of the “Top 10 Albums on Soul Tracks”, Album of the Month in 2011 and nominated for Soul Tracks Awards in 2011. Heston was also “Best Male Vocalist of the Year” in 2011 by Soul Tracks.

Coors Light and hip-hop legend Ice Cube, crowned Chicago’s, Mr. Hyde the Coldest MC, during the 2013 Coors Light Search for the Coldest grand finale at New York City’s Stage 48 recently. The event featured special performances by Ice Cube and Universal Music Group recording artist, Big Sean. Bun B and DJ Drama joined Ice Cube as hosts and judges at the concert event, where the winning MC was awarded $20,000.
“We saw a lot of talented MCs on this year’s Search for the Coldest tour,” said Ice Cube. “As an MC myself, I love seeing the next generation of hip-hop emerge, and it’s great that Coors Light continues to support hip-hop.”
After over 3,000 entries, more than 270,000 online votes and an eight-city tour featuring performances by Juicy J, Pusha T, French Montana and Big Sean, Mr. Hyde was one of four national finalists selected to compete based on their showmanship and swagger, originality and creativity, lyrics and entertainment value. In addition to the $20,000 grand prize, Mr. Hyde was awarded the opportunity to develop a single track produced by DJ Drama, featuring an exclusive verse from Bun B, and will have his song featured on the Coors Light Search for the Coldest Mixtape, which will be released in partnership with GoodMusicAllDay.com.

The 2013 Coors Light Search for the Coldest contest was highlighted by an eight-city tour, featuring celebrity performances in Dallas, Charlotte, New Orleans, Baltimore and Philadelphia, with semifinal concert events in Chicago and Atlanta, before concluding in New York City. The tour also included MyStudio Mobile, an interactive, mobile recording studio featured at ESSENCE® Festival, and the online contest gave fans a chance to win daily prizes by voting, including a trip to the finale.
