Inglewood Recieves Grant from Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Control

CNS–Inglewood city officials announced today it has been given a $50,000 grant by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to fund activities and operations focusing on the prevention, education and enforcement of alcohol-related violations.

The grant will help identify and target problematic bars, restaurants and liquor stores licensed by the department; fund “Minor Decoy and “Should Tap” operations; provide classes to combat alcoholism; and encourage communication and involvement between the police department and the public, according to Inglewood Police Department Lt. Mike McBride.
