Wi Jammin will be jamming your taste buds with the flavors of Jamaica.

Stop by Wi Jammin At Taste of Soul...some of the best Jamaican food will be ‘jammin’ at the Taste of Soul Festival this year.

If you want a taste of Jamaica, then all you need to do is go to a ‘Taste of Soul.’ Wi Jammin (WJ), which was inspired by the Bob Marley song, is an authentic taste of Jamaican cuisine that is sure to please many palates. Delores Dyer is co-owner of WJ and much of her recipes come from home.

“I’ve been cooking food since I was in Jamaica,” said Dyer

After she came to the U.S., in the late 1990s, she started working in the restaurant industry were she met Antionette Gray. Together they would start their own restaurant specializing in down-home Jamaican food.

Established in 2002, WJ has been serving up all the Jamaican favorites like: jerk chicken, oxtails, curry goat and chicken, red snapper, ackee & salt fish to name a few. They also have specialized beverages such as honey punch, pineapple ginger and coconut water.

“We make our own, freshly home-made juices,” said Dyer

The all-time favorite, according to Dyer, is the jerk chicken and they also make their own specialized fried chicken. Their fried chicken is seasoned with Jamaican spices and fried to perfection.

This will be WJ’s third Taste of Soul Festival and they’re looking forward to coming back to share their food with new and old customers.

“People who go to Jamaica and come back say the food is better here at Wi Jammin,” said Dyer.
