Taste of Soul: The Sweet Stop

Your one-stop carnival is serving all the regulars plus their one-of-a-kind Funnel Cake at Taste of Soul.

Hamburgers, Corndogs, Nachos, and Funnel Cake… are we going to the fair? No, the fair is coming to you…or better yet, to Taste of Soul 2012 (TOS). The Sweet Stop (TSS) is a personalized catering service that offers all your amusement park favorites.

Al & Liz Larson are the owners of TSS and have been running the catering service for the past 16 years. TSS offers a variety of fanfare treats like French Fries, Hot Dogs, Cotton Candy and Lemonade, just to name a few. They will be offering Funnel Cake, Nachos and Corn Dogs at TOS.

“We specialize in Funnel Cakes,” said Al Larson. “Our customers have told us, since we first started the business, that we have the best Funnel Cake around.

“Compared to Disney, Knott’s Berry Farm—[people] have liked our Funnel Cake the best. They’re bigger and the toppings we offer—they’re tastier.”

TSS utilizes their concession trailer at their events, which enables them to serve all their goodies as if you were at the fair. Their Funnel Cakes come with an assortment of toppings such as Strawberry, Blueberry, Whip Cream, [Chocolate] Syrup, Caramel, Cinnamon Sugar and Powered Sugar.

“That’s our signature item (Funnel Cake),” said Larson. “That’s what people know us [for].”

This will be TSS first TOS event and they are looking forward to mingling with the crowd.

“Once you have our Funnel Cakes—you won’t want any others,” said Larson.

The Sweet Stop does special events throughout California, Nevada and Arizona.
