Herbalife, a global nutrition company, announced the endorsement of eight time NAACP Image Award nominee actress Vanessa Calloway.

This partnership marks the first time the global nutrition company establishes a celebrity endorsement outside of the sports world.  The endorsement of Calloway is part of the company’s ongoing African American initiative, which aims to establish itself as a trusted nutrition ally in the African American market segment, and also a viable solution to the obesity epidemic and financial hardships faced by this community.

Calloway has been a Herbalife consumer for the past four years, and has personally experienced positive results in her overall health and wellness.  “Herbalife became my daily morning routine because the shake along with my daily supplements not only helps me maintain my weight, but they supply energy for me throughout my day. Even when I travel I pack my Herbalife products,” said Calloway.

As part of the deal, Herbalife will have promotional rights to use Calloway’s name, image and likeness for its African American marketing materials and will continue using and promoting Herbalife product consumption.

Prior to her official Herbalife endorsement, Calloway had been involved with the company at several events, including the KJLH Women’s Health Forum and Union Rescue Mission community events.
