IMPORTANT MESSAGE: CONSTRUCTION AT LA SENTINEL OFFICE: Due to unforeseen construction work, our office is temporarily closed. We are operating business off site and still accepting ads and classified ads. View Company Directory.
First off I would like to thank everyone who has commented on how much they enjoy the new look of the Sentinel. I appreciate all of your positive words. It is truly fulfilling to know that the work of not only me, but all of our incredible staff here at the paper is appreciated by our community.
With that said, I would like to ask you to not only read the Sentinel, but please make sure you subscribe to it. It is only through a subscriber base that we can continue to produce a quality newspaper telling the story of Black people, for Black people and by Black people. Not only do I ask that you get a subscription for yourself, but please, also get a subscription for your friends, family and in particular young people. We must remember that it is important to teach young people the relevance of reading and supporting the Black Press.
In honor of Juneteenth, I would like to offer you a one-year subscription at the reduced rate of 50 percent - ($30.00). Again, I would like to thank all of our subscribers and readers and ask that you continue to support the Los Angeles Sentinel.
I need to hear from you now more than ever. I need to know what is going on in our community. I also need to know what other stories we need to tell, and what is on your mind. I really do want to hear from you, I want you to "Talk to Danny."
Sincerely,Danny J. Bakewell, Jr.President & Executive Editor
