SPORTS - BASEBALL The article " Hart Leaves Unique Mark at Crenshaw" initially reported that Cameron Hart graduated Crenshaw High School as valedictorian, but in fact, Hart graduated No. 3 in his class with a 4.127 grade point average by Los Angeles Unified School District standards. According to University of California standards, which weighs grade point average differently, it rises to 4.3 and that was the basis for the report. We apologize for the error and to the seniors who were valedictorian and salutatorian at Crenshaw as well as their families. The story has been re-edited with the correct information.
NEWS - LOCAL The article "OBAMA-THON to Celebrate Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr." incorrectly indicated that radio personality Steve Harvey would be broadcasting live at the Sentinel's Offices. The article should have read that radio personalities "The Goodfellas" would be broadcasting live.
ENTERTAINMENT- TELEVISION The spelling of Sanaa Lathan's name was misprinted and subsequently changed to reflect the correct spelling.
BUSINESS - FINANCE In last week’s issue wrote that Elbert Hudson founded Broadway Federal bank, but it was actually founded by his father H. Claude Hudson. Also, we mentioned that F. Glen Harvey was President and COO, but Harvey is President and CEO of Broadway Federal Bank.
OPINIONS - URBAN PERSPECTIVE In issue number 66, the content for the article titled "Knowledge is Prelude to Transformng Black Disunity" was incorrectly replaced with the content for another article titled "Democrats Fight Off Republican Vote to Impeach Cheney". That content has since been replaced with the appropriate content.
