An all-star diva lineup has signed up for a good cause. It’s the 17th Annual Divas Simply Singing, the longest-running AIDS benefit concert in Los Angeles this weekend. This year’s concert will feature the cast members of Broadway’s original “Dreamgirls” -- Jennifer Holliday, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Loretta Devine. The ladies take the stage with a host of other celebrities this Saturday, October 6, at the Wilshire Ebell in Los Angeles, CA. The show starts at 7:30pm.

Other divas joining in the fun for a good cause include Natalie Cole, Deniece Williams, actress/singer Jenifer Lewis; American Idol finalists Lakisha Jones and Paris Bennett along with her mother, Jamecia Bennett and her grandmother, Ann Nesby (Sounds of Blackness); violinist Karen Briggs; gospel sensations Dottie Peoples and Linda Hopkins, RuPaul, songstress Desiree Jackson-Coleman (“Mamma, I Want to Sing!”), neo-soul singer Ledisi; New Age soprano Darlene Koldenhoven; and all-girl group Jazmin ( NBC’s “Star Tomorrow”).

Tickets are $25, $50 and $100. Proceeds will benefit the DIVA AIDS Foundation and Women Alive.

DIVAS Simply Singing was created by original Broadway DIVA Sheryl Lee Ralph through her Island Girl Productions.
