This week we are starting the National HIV Testing Campaign where our goal is to test one million African Americans throughout the nation. This Saturday, June 21 at 8:00 a.m. on KJLH 102.3 Radio Free, I will be a guest speaker on the Jackie Stevens radio show along with Inglewood Mayor Roosevelt Dorn and Tony Wafford of the Black Aids Institute.
Did you know?
This is why I am encouraging our community to stop by the Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper on Friday, June 27 between 8:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. to receive their free and private HIV test.
On a sad note, the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Boston Celtics. Let’s congratulate them on a great season and we hope that they will come back next year. And let’s not forget to congratulate our home grown brother from Inglewood Paul Pierce on his first NBA Championship.
As an Obama Delegate don’t forget that it is our responsibility to register as many people as possible to vote in the November 2008 Presidential Election. Stop by and pick up your registration forms at the Los Angeles Sentinel.
Let me know if there are any other issues we need to address, or stories we need to tell. Let me know what is on your mind. I really do want to hear from you, I want you to “Talk to Danny.”
Sincerely,
Danny J. Bakewell, Jr.
