42-year-old woman shares her unique story
Elon Bomani is a living example that you can never keep a good woman down. After a divorce, Bomani found herself temporarily homeless with her son, who was only one and a half at the time. Bomani was not in the homeless shelter for long.
Bomani, who has a Masters Degree from Rutgers University, turned to an unlikely source to turn the $36 in her checking account into over a million dollars in less than two years. She had Carlton Sheet’s No Money Down real estate DVDs.
“Most people say that it is a scam,” Bomani said. “No, it’s not.”
The 42-year-old who lives in Missouri, Texas, said that she followed the instructions and bought her first property with no money down, and she walked away with a $625 check. She was creative with paying the mortgage. She moved into the house, got a roommate, and had a yard sale to get her through her first couple months. She also sold her wedding ring, which she said that she did not need anymore.
Within two years, Bomani had purchased 16 homes and was well on her well to becoming a millionaire.
“Somebody blessed me and I’m so excited the way it turned out,” Bomani said. “I want people to know that the American Dream is still alive.”
She is now sharing her knowledge with others through workshops throughout the country and her own series of books which she sells through her website, www.dynamicdiva.com. She says that people are not taught wealth 101, so she teaches the millionaire mindset and teaches her students how to be financially literate.
“Wealthy people make money work for them,” Bomani said. “They understand the game of money is to control money, or it will control you.”
Bomani is no stranger to hard work.
“When I got my money issue together, I was never going to be homeless again,” Bomani said. “I tell people if you want to get to the next level are you willing to not sleep, are you willing to not eat? Are you willing to work seven days a week? If you work hard like our ancestors back in slavery, then I’ll trust that you are working hard.
Bomani’s knowledge on real estate goes far past a set of Carlton Sheets DVDs. She spent countless hours studying what it takes to become a millionaire.
“I went to the library, read every book about millionaires and what they did, and did my homework and research. I now tell people to go out there and do the work. Start buying the real estate. Start investing in Wall Street. Start creating that internet business.”
