GLAAACC Chairman Gene Hale, President of G & C Equipment is among those listed in the Black Enterprises’2008 BE 100s, the 36th Annual Report on the Nation’s Largest Black-Owned Businesses.
“We’re excited about making the list,” stated Hale. For more than two decades G&C Equipment has served as a one-stop shop for the sale, lease and procurement of construction equipment, materials and supplies.
According to the magazine featuring Black Entrepreneurs, BE Industrial/ Service 100 businesses posted a 9.8 percent gain in revenue overall, maintaining the same number of employees. Companies such as G & C Equipment were able to hold their ground or their advance their businesses through innovative strategies to capture market shares, enter new markets or acquire or sell off assets.
As a provider of construction equipment, materials and supplies, G&C has capitalized on being innovative and helping contractors save time and overhead costs by utilizing his company’s diverse source of construction manufacturing contacts and solid relationships that Gene and his team have built over the last 27 years.
Headquartered in Gardena, California; G & C has satellite offices in Washington D.C., The Pentagon San Francisco, CA and Las Vegas. The company has provided equipment and building materials for clients as far away as Russia and as close as the current school building projects for the Los Angeles School District’s G & C’s client list includes a virtual who’s who of the construction industry that includes Tutor-Saliba, Turner Construction, Hensel-Phelps, Clark Construction AEG and numerous others.
