Aiming to address real issues facing today's woman, Crenshaw Christian Center (CCC) will present the ‘Women Under Construction Conference' to empower females with knowledge and information to live abundantly in Christ.
The one-day event takes place on Saturday, April 28, at 9 a.m., at the world-renowned FaithDome, located at 7901 South Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.
The gathering is among the ongoing efforts of Dr. Betty Price to aid the overall body of Christ, especially women, in overcoming real-life challenges and experiencing victory through godly living.
"The ‘Women Under Construction Conference' will benefit women of all ages, and include topics for singles, married, career women, stay-at-home moms, seniors, those dealing with domestic violence and the list goes on," said Dr. Price, who serves with her husband, Apostle Frederick K.C. Price, and son, Pastor Fred Price, Jr., as spiritual leaders of CCC.
"As a matriarch in the body of Christ, I would like to see this generation much more strengthened in the Word by gaining knowledge to deal with circumstances that continue to erode their God-given gifts and talents.
"In Hosea 4:6, the Word says ‘that my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,' so this is an opportunity to hear from speakers who will share life experiences in order to inform and encourage the body to live the abundant, overcoming, and victorious life that Jesus came to provide for us as stated in John 10:10."
The program includes Ms. Cheryl Price as keynote speaker and Mrs. Denise Hunter, first lady of First A.M.E. Church - Los Angeles, who will outline her ‘Choose Well Initiative' that focuses on preventing sexually transmitted infections.
Also leading sessions are Deanna Blaylock, retired Bank Vice President; Dr. Minnie Claiborne, psychologist; Angela Evans, inspirational speaker; Dr. Delores Jones, CCC assistant minister; Stacy Milner, author; Donna Pickens, first lady of Antelope Valley Christian Center and Rachel Watts, talk radio host.
In addition, a special music ministry will be rendered by Lady Myesha Chaney of Antioch Church of Long Beach.
Registration is $10 and includes all conference materials. Lunch options and several vendors will be on-site as well.
