Compton high school to play host to celebrity basketball game

This Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 4 p.m., Sparks' Lisa Leslie, Lakers' Trevor Ariza, Rappers Snoop Dogg, Warren G, and Lil Eazy E along with many other celebrities are going to join Coaches Michael Cooper and Norman Nixon in a Celebrity Basketball game at Compton High School (601 S. Acacia Avenue Compton CA 90220) to raise funds for Zion Baptist Evangelistic Temple's Stepping Stone Youth Center in Compton.

Hosted by Zion Baptist Evangelistic Temple and PreachBoy Ministries, proceeds raised will help to finish construction on The Stepping Stone and render it open to the public in spring. The Stepping Stone in Compton will give local area youth the opportunity to learn sports, arts, and receive academic tutoring.
