The program, which is a part of the Chapter's Project Alpha program, is geared towards reaching out to and serving young African-American males. The program features workshops that provide the Junior Gents with tools needed to achieve academic, social, and economic success in their future careers.

Brothers from the Chapter, which includes practicing attorneys, successful businessmen, educators, engineers, and practicing physicians, serve as presenters and session facilitators. Brothers meet with the young men biweekly, and Alpha sharp is a must. The Junior Gents are taught proper etiquette, how to tie a neck tie, and how to look business like for future employment.

Twenty-one young men ages 13-17 participated in the program this year. The program is a few years old, and it gets better each year.

This program is in collaboration with the Long Beach and Inglewood Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and Holman United Methodist Men's Group.
